The Mission Lexington Dental Clinic provides free dental services to uninsured adults in Fayette County, KY, whose earnings place them at or below the federal poverty level.
The clinic provides dental exams, radiographs, restorative work, extractions, dentures (for a fee), partials, root canals, emergency dental care, and medications such as antibiotics, when needed.
History
In 2004, Mission Lexington was just a dream here at Faith. The dental clinic opened its doors in June 2006, Since then a free Medical Clinic has also opened that provides primary care, wound dressings, psychiatric care, lab testing such as urinalysis, pap smears, and blood tests of all kinds. Each year the clinics have served more and more people.
Mission Lexington is supported by five area congregations: Calvary Baptist Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church, and South Elkhorn Christian Church.
Location
Together the Dental Clinic and Mediical Clinic are located at 230 South Martin Luther King Blvd in Lexington (across from Calvary Baptist Church).
